What is the ICGEB Research Grant 2024?
Established in 1988, the ICGEB Research Grant program financially supports outstanding scientific research projects in the ICGEB Member States. This program fosters collaboration, supports young scientists, and helps strengthen research infrastructure.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS 2024 CRP – ICGEB Research Grant 2024
The ICGEB Research Grant 2024 offers grants of up to Euro 25,000 per year to cover your project expenses. This includes funding for:
- Consumables
- Scientific literature
- Basic laboratory equipment
- Travel
- Training costs
Special Opportunities
For researchers from Ethiopia and Djibouti, additional resources are available thanks to the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) under the BIOTECHNET initiative. These grants offer up to Euro 48,000 for projects lasting 24 months.
Who can apply?
- Principal Investigators affiliated with Universities or Research Institutes in ICGEB Member States are eligible to apply.
- International collaboration is highly encouraged, especially for projects addressing regional issues.
- A special category of CRP-ICGEB Early Career Return Grants is available for young researchers (under 40 years old) who have recently returned to an ICGEB Member State (excluding Italy) to establish their labs.
