Postdoctoral Research in Materials Chemistry-Stockholm

The Postdoctoral Research position will be associated with the project Light-Emitting Electrochemical Cells as Energy Efficient Light Sources, funded by the Swedish Research Agency, Vetenskapsrådet.

The aim is the development of efficient transition-metal based complexes as emitter materials for application in organic lighting, specifically in light-emitting electrochemical cells and analyze their structure and properties and evaluate their suitability for applications in organic lighting devices such as OLEDs or LECs. The successful applicant will be integrated into an international, dynamic, cross-disciplinary researcher team of Engineers, Chemists and Physicists.

Main responsibilities

The position involves research in the synthesis and characterization of transition metal complexes. Subsequent materials characterization encompasses confirming the chemical identity, structure analysis, cyclic voltammetry, and characterization of thermal and optical materials properties with an emphasis on photo- and electroluminescence.

Qualification requirements

Postdoctoral positions are appointed primarily for purposes of research. Applicants are expected to hold a Swedish doctoral degree or an equivalent degree from another country.

Assessment criteria-Postdoctoral Research position

The degree should have been completed no more than three years before the deadline for applications. An older degree may be acceptable under special circumstances, which may involve sick leave, parental leave, clinical attachment, elected positions in trade unions, or similar.
